"I have been to a couple other drama/acting camps in the past, and Ryerson's Teen Acting Academy is definitely the best I have been to [...]One of the reasons I wanted to come was to learn more about acting, and the industry. I have learned more about both in the last two weeks than I have ever been taught before. All of the counsellors and staff have been so amazing! Everyone is so kind, and helpful, and supportive. I think it's really cool how a lot of the counsellors actually work in the industry, or they are students at Ryerson (or both). I learned so much from everyone! I also felt like everyone genuinely cared about us and wanted to see us succeed. Everyone put in so much work to make TAA feel like a welcoming community.”

What will I experience in the Ryerson School of Performance Teen Acting Academy course?

We train you in the basic fundamentals of working as a professional in the acting industry, regardless of how much or how little experience you may already have.

The Ryerson School of Performance Teen Acting Academy teaches young artists how to work in and audition for film, television, commercials, theatre and training programs. You'll gain practical, studio experience to craft your acting technique, on stage and on set, as we teach you to dissect and work with scripts. You will be immersed in intensive workshops in order to deliver your best work when faced with industry directors and producers. In order to cope with the intimidation of 'the business' of acting, our teaching artists will work with you to learn about industry elements, such as agents and casting directors. This is just the beginning!  We help you develop the tools to enjoy your work and have the potential to thrive in the performing arts.
