The Rover is a rule-breaking comedy by the formidable Aphra Behn, the first English woman to be a commercially successful playwright. Written in the 17th century, this production updates the play to the controversies of Hollywood 2018. Four young women search for love and sex during a massive costume party. So does The Rover, a sex-hungry rake, together with three other guys. Comic mayhem ensues, as well as attempted assault.  Yet in the end, all the women get what they want. Music, dance, improvisation, a courtesan like Marilyn Monroe, Woody Allen, Darth Vader on Tinder, and a wannabe Miley Cyrus populate our imaginary love story.
