Janelle began her relationship with the stage at the age of 3, in the traditional blue tutu & sequins - unfortunately it doesn’t fit anymore. Janelle has stage-managed for over 40 dance companies and independent choreographers including the National Ballet of Canada, Dancetheatre David Earle, Danny Grossman Dance Company, Tiger Princess Dance Projects and Peggy Baker. She has toured Malaysia & Singapore with the Canadian Contemporary Dance Theatre as well as across Canada with Kaeja d’Dance.
For the past 10 years she has been working more intensely as a production manager and is currently working in the Theatre and Performance Programme at the University of Waterloo. She has also had the pleasure of production managing major festivals such as the Magnetic North Theatre Festival (Ottawa), IMPACT Festival (Waterloo) and dance: made in Canada (Toronto). In her spare time, Janelle directs the “S.M.Arts Conference” with Winston Morgan, an annual conference for and about stage management. But her favourite project thus far has been her son, Hunter.
